Welcome to the Barwon River, Geelong. The Geelong Rowing Association (GRA) endeavours to provide a top class racing and training venue for the overall benefit of the sport of rowing and its participants. As we all are well aware, repairs to rowing equipment can be a very expensive exercise and together with physical injuries caused by boat accidents, such mishaps can be extremely disappointing and disruptive to the aspirations of rowers and crews from clubs and schools. To this, traffic rules for any rowing/regatta venue are essential but more importantly, these rules need to be adhered to by ALL river users. |

Welcome to the homepage of the Barwon Rowing Club. The Barwon Rowing Club is based on the Barwon River in Geelong, Victoria. We have a strong and successful rowing program which caters for: - Learn-To-Row programs,
- School Age Rowing,
- Social Rowing,
- Senior Rowing,
- and Veteran/Masters Rowing.
Established in 1870, the Barwon Rowing Club is the oldest rowing club in Geelong, and is one of the oldest in the State. We are also proud of the fact that we have continuously operated since starting in 1870. Across our history our members have participated at State and National and International rowing competition. The Club currently supports approximately 170 members with varying rowing ability, from a first time beginner to elite athlete and our diverse programs are well matched.
